Riders who have experience will work on mini-racing and skill building .
Novices will work on safe riding and operating their motorbike safely while building skills.
This program is for both riders and parents as an introduction to the sport of Motorsport and Motorcycling in Western Australia. Parents are able to learn about coaching and track operations as well as letting their children learn the skills they need to ride in a safe and controlled environment.
MiniX provides a supportive learning environment for young riders working with our fully qualified coaches. They learn about riding with our MotoSafe program and have a fun filled day letting them explore the track, ride around obstacles and participate in controlled Mini-Racing if they are up to the challenge.

• The MiniX 4 to 6 years of age is aimed towards our entry level riders. Most of these riders are completely
new to motorcycles and have never been on a minibike before. Some have previous riding experience but
still due to their age are working on coordination and skill building. Throttle restricted bikes are encouraged
in this group.
• It is natural that every parent worries a little and that is completely expected. However, this program provides
our youngest riders with a safe fun filled controlled environment. Safety is paramount for our participants.
Our coaches have some of the industry’s highest qualifications and take their role very seriously.
• The goal of MiniX is to help your child develop the skills needed to be a safe, confident rider and most
of all HAVE FUN DOING IT! Both boys and girls are encouraged to participate.
• As program directors our goal for you as a parent is to actively seek your involvement, learn more about
motorcycling and put your mind at ease that we will look out for your child as if they were our own.
So come on out for a day and get to know us!
TRY A SESSION. NO OBLIGATION and HAVE A BLAST WITH YOUR SON OR DAUGHTER FOR A MORNING!

• Our MiniX for 7 to 12 years of age riders is a program for those children that are either entering as a
novice rider to learn more about motorcycling or have some previous riding experience.
• During these sessions your child will continue skills building, riding around obstacles, participated in mini
racing and earn points for their riding, safety and skills. At this age, event if a novice they usually have the
coordination and learning ability to pick up new skills quite quickly and can follow along and learn rapidly.
• In quite a short period of time you notice a difference
in both their confidence and ability.
• Once again safety is paramount and working with our coaches will help your child gain the knowledge
necessary to process as a safe and conscientious rider.
• Riders 7 - 12 years of age earn points for their accuracy and skills whilst riding. In this sport being
fastest doesn't mean you win, being safe and accurate is where you score.
• As the Directors of MiniX we do seek your parental involvement in this program. If you are looking
to spend a quality day with your child all the while having a great time , then feel free to get involved
with our MiniX program. Just complete the volunteer form in the registration pack.
Since 2007 over 7000 primary school aged children have been introduced to the Smarter than Smoking MotoSafe program and subsequently exposed to the different types of Motorcycle sport and their clubs, as well as being educated with the message of safe and responsible riding practices.
Motorcycling is becoming increasingly popular as a sport and recreational activity. Therefore Motorcycling WA is pleased to introduce 'Smarter than Smoking MotoSafe' - a program developed with support from the Department of Sport and Recreation.
Each year huge numbers of junior motorcycles are sold in Western Australia. Concern for the safety of children has led Motorcycling Western Australia in partnership with Smarter than Smoking to develop MotoSafe, a safety orientated educational program.
The Smarter than Smoking Motosafe has been developed with the express goal of fostering the responsible and safe use of motorcycles.
MotoSafe has been developed into a complete educational package with the assistance of qualified Primary School teachers.
The Program
MotoSafe is an interactive package based on safe and responsible motorcycling riding practices whilst incorporating the Smarter than Smoking message
The message that being safe requires a few rules is of value to all students and includes:
- Developing a positive attitude to sport
- Where to ride motorcycles legally and safely
- Respect for the environment
- Respect for yourself and those around you
- What to wear when riding a motorcycle
- How to be responsible on a motorcycle
- Safety equipment is cool!
The program consists of:
- A visit to your school by trained presenters using motorcycling equipment and props including a 12 minute DVD.
- A resource kit consisting of a student resource DVD and interesting facts about motorcycles and safety including an outcomes based teachers and classroom resources that include ready-to-use lesson material.
- An optional visit to a local motorcycle club outside of school hours.
